Lidl Ireland have extended their regional distribution centre in Mullingar, Co Westmeath. Building on the retailer’s sustainable building credentials, the project incorporates 25,000sq m of new cold rooms cooled by natural refrigerants, a state-of-the-art refrigeration heat-recovery system providing heating to the warehouse, and a pollinator-friendly area with wildflower planting to promote local biodiversity. It will make it one making it one of the largest buildings in the country.

What is a passive fire protection system?
