An intumescent strip is a graphite fire-sealing product. Encompassed a plastic sleeve for fitting into a door or window gap recess. When exposed to extreme temperatures, the strip will expand and help to contain the fire.

The strips also assist in preventing the spread of smoke and its respective damage through the building.
